The Po came out of its riverbed and invaded the park. The floodplain areas flooded as the flood wave passed, but the boat is in shallow water. SweetHome could have made the water baptism but the water level is not sufficient for buoyancy. Its hull draught would have to be at least 52 cm for unrestricted buoyancy. A slight inclination conferred by the V-shape of its hull, which still touches lightly on the ground plane, is still visible.

The draught is the measurement of the part of the boat immersed in water, and a boat with a deeper draught will require deeper water to sail comfortably.
